My name is Camille. Everybody thinks that Yolaine is my last name,
but it’s actually my middle name. I’ve lived in Paris for seven years now. I’m from Alsace,
but I consider myself a converted Parisian. I’m an editor and I first wrote about beauty, and then about fashion for Rouje,
and I’m now a freelance writer. I also do a lot of things besides:
I love to sing, I love to play music, I love to try new things out all the time. My relationship with fashion is very spontaneous. I could be crazy about an ultra-printed fabric, whereas I have lots of plain clothes
in my wardrobe. So, I have a kind of schizophrenic relationship
with fashion. My style changes a lot
between summer and winter. For example, during winter,
I usually wear an oversized jacket, jeans and ankle boots. During summer, I’m all about floral dresses
with espadrille wedges, I’m always wearing heels. Episode is the thrift store that I love in Paris
because it’s like Ali Baba’s cave. This is what I actually do when I go there:
I touch the fabrics, I look at the prints,
I like it when it’s loose-fitting, when you see that it hasn’t been worn much. What I like about vintage clothing
is that the materials are beautiful, they may be old, but they are still intact, and that’s what’s great. What I also like about vintage
is that each piece of clothing has a story. Typically, I see my mom’s Cacharel dress
since I was a little girl and when my dad talks about it, he says: “ah! your mother, when she was wearing
her Cacharel dress…” We can feel that there’s a story behind and I like to think
that my vintage clothes had a story and that the people who wore them
had a feeling about them, and that I sort of take over by buying them.

Go to Barbes and film, or the 19th, or the 10, 11, or 20th or St. Denis. Paris is a shithole!

Why are people so fast to criticize, make personal attacks, and insult!? All of us are trying to make something of our lives! The world is a much bigger place than any one of us, so there is room for your style, my style or Camilles'. Those who are true to themselves will be happy, but those who throw random insults at people are far from happy. I like vintage stuff so I liked this.
