AT&T Smart Wi-Fi Extenders
expand your coverage to give you seamless Wi-Fi
throughout your home. In some homes, due to size,
layout or physical obstructions, a Wi-Fi Gateway may not cover
every corner of your home. We call these areas
“dead zones” – where you may have
noticed slower speeds or limited Wi-Fi signal. Using the latest
and mesh technology, Smart Wi-Fi Extenders work
together with your Wi-Fi Gateway to help cover those dead zones. Depending on your home, you may need multiple extenders
to cover more areas. We recommend that you download
the AT&T Smart Home Manager app to your smartphone through your device’s app store, or at att.com/smarthomemanager. Not only will the app advise how many Wi-Fi Extenders
you need based on your home, it can also help you
set them up. Open the app and sign in
with your AT&T User ID, select the Tools
icon at the bottom. Now, select “Do I need
Smart Wi-Fi Extenders?” and answer a few questions. The Smart Home Manager app
will give you a recommendation based on your home size
and layout. It will even offer a link to
easily purchase your extenders. And once you have your
Smart Wi-Fi Extenders, the Smart Home Manager app can guide you through
extender setup, making it simple and
easy to get started. Now, you can stream,
surf and game where you couldn’t before. Get started at
att.com/smarthomemanager to download the app. Thanks for choosing AT&T. ♪music♪

It looks interesting… But the @^%$ Drumbeat doesn't play well with my hearing aids. And it is too fast. Better if one could 'page' thru it to consider each feature.

Someone should tell the techs to quick lying to ppl to their face. They tell you the extender works with ANY router when in fact, it only works with 2 or 3 AT&T models. Had to change carriers and now it is a paper weight. I have found no one as yet that has been able to get one to work with another router. They have an app on the net that is supposed to help with network setup and no one is getting it to work and haven't for ages. Worst carrier I have ever had. Even the modem was garbage. Never again!

I got these same things from frontier and they aren't working. Every time I try to plug it in and connect it via the Mesh method it won't work, no matter how close I put them. I want to know if you can set it up to just repeat the wireless signal coming from my ISP provided router

Worthless piece of junk. Definitely returning to AT&T. Don’t waste your time and money.

These things are junk. I cannot recommend them. They are unable to keep a consistent wi-fi connection to any of our devices. I find that we are better off having a consistently-available, but weaker, signal from the AT&T gateway, than having a completely unreliable, but slightly faster, connection from these extenders. And yes, I have had them set up correctly. I am a software engineer with over 30 years experience with various networking hardware.

One of the limitations of these devices is that they cannot sit any further than 10 feet away from the gateway! Not much of an "extension" in an aveage-to-large size home where these are usually needed.

Also — after 15 days, you are unable to return them back to AT&T. I cannot even find a link or page anywhere on their site back to my original order. I should have known better, when I went into my local AT&T store, and they claimed no knowledge of these devices whatsoever. They don't sell them nor support them in person — only online. BUYER BEWARE!

I switched from Comcast and I had the best internet. I switch to AT&t and now I have the worst internet. I really regret I let Comcast go. As soon as his contract is over I'm switching back to to Comcast.

Wifi is getting slower and slower I think I'll just go to another provider for a lower rate and better wifi service.

Is this a true mesh system? As in, does it communicate with the gateway on a separate channel?
